Here I have used a technique called Forced Perspective. In this composition the tree in the distance appears very small. Along with the other Bald Cypress trees in close proximity this makes for a very telling commentary on the state of our world where we are very quick to judge and point fingers at others. Social media has magnified the effects of this and someone's life can be ruined in a matter of hours.

This piece of contemporary art shows us how it might be to be on the receiving end of these habits and perhaps give us some pause in our own judgemental ways.

As an interesting aside, the small tree is the same one you see in my artwork titled "Ode to Solitude". This image provides beautiful context to and compliments that one.

Each piece is custom made after the order is placed. The Aluminum prints usually take up to a week in production. Lumachrome Acrylic can take up to three weeks in production.
